Every now and then, I come across and befriend a writer I feel the need to talk about. This list will grow with time.
Jones Howell is a poet of passion and incisiveness, whose debut chapbook, “The Safest December,” can be found in paperback form here, or, if you prefer eBooks, click here. “Focusing on the silent killers–emotional abuse, faltering relationships, and the bitter cold of winter,” this book is about as good a safety blanket as you’re going to get, being (nominally) an adult trying to survive the seasons of your life. All proceeds go to the Atlanta Children’s Hospital. (Full disclosure: I contributed to one of the poems in this chapbook, and am also responsible for the cover art.)
